Our final day in Chilcapamba was busy as we tidied up the work site, finished a smaller painting project, and spent the evening celebrating our time together with local community members.

During our despedida we had a local band from the community come and play traditional music as we all danced together in a circle. The members of the community spoke from their hearts as they expressed appreciation and thanked us for our work and our stay. They told us stories, taught us lessons, and said heartfelt goodbyes that we will certainly keep with us as we continue on. We feel very lucky to have visited such a special place and we are looking forward to our Galápagos adventure!
